Pet horoscopes have become the latest fad. For many pet lovers around the globe, wanting to know the future and well being of their beloved pet is very serious. The do not see pet horoscopes as a fad at all but a way for them to better know their animal friends. Those who believe in pet horoscopes are usually heavy believers in Astrology in their own lives.

The notion that the location of the Sun, Jupiter and Mars can tell you how fluffy is going to feel today is utter foolishness. To the believers it is as real as rain. They believe the horoscope is a tool that can help them better understand their pet's feelings. All of us who have had pets believe that they have personalities and are all different. So why not believe that you can use astrology to know when Fido will be having a bad day.

We all believe in something; Astrology, God, Buddha, Mohamed. All of these beliefs provide us with an outlet; a way to make sense of every day events in our lives. Pet horoscopes are just an extension of some of these beliefs. It extends to our pets some beliefs we use in our own lives every day.

When was the last time you read the paper and did not glance at your personal horoscope for that day or month? We have all done it. It made no difference if we believed the horoscope or not. If we are honest, we have all said to ourselves "that is exactly how things are", or something similar. Reading our pet's horoscope is no different than reading our own. We would suddenly realize that the pet horoscope sounds just like our pet. It is funny how horoscopes always seem to be really close to reality even for those who do not believe in Astrology.
